Live Stock Market Updates: Nifty hovers around 9100; Idea trades at day's low
The INDIA VIX is down 0.3% at 11.9. BSE Sensex is trading at 29445 down 73 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9106 down 20 points.
Idea Cellular Limited is trading at day’s low of Rs 90.15 per share. The stock is contributing the most to the BSE Telecom index losses.
The index is trading at 1234 levels, down by 1.4%. Other telecom players like Reliance Communications, Bharti Airtel, Bharti Infratel and MTNL are also trading in negative territory.
FMCG heavyweight player, ITC is trading higher by 0.9% at Rs 284 per share. The stock is pulling up the Nifty FMCG index.
There are 587 advances, 953 declines and 374 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting some negative undertone floating in the market.
At 12 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 29445 down 73 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9106 down 20 points. A total of 55 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 22 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down 0.7% at 13810, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading down 0.4% at 13996.
Some buying activity is seen in Capital Goods, IT and FMCG while Healthcare, Telecom and Auto are showing weakness on BSE.
Grasim, LT, ITC Limited, Bharti Infratel and Bosch Limited are among the gainers, whereas Idea, Dr Reddy’s, Axis Bank, Sun Pharma and Aurobindo Pharma are losing sheen on NSE.
