Reliance Industries shuts unit in Jamnagar facility for two weeks

Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), India's biggest oil refinery, in a statement to the stock exchanges on Wednesday said that it has shut down a unit in its petrochemical refinery complex operating at the Jamangar facility in Gujarat.

RIL informed the stock exchanges that it has taken short shutdown of one of the fluid catalytic cracking units (FCCU) at Jamnagar complex to assure reliability and integrity of operations.

The company reassured that the plant will be operational after two weeks, and the rest of the refinery will function normally.

The Indian stock markets were shut on Wednesday, August 15th 2018 for Independence Day.
