Shares of Adani Group gained in the morning trade on Monday, with Adani Enterprises Ltd. being the top gainer among the stocks, up nearly 14%.
Further, share of Adani Green Energy, Adani Gas, Adani Enterprises, Adani Transmission, Adani Power, and Adani Ports were trading in the positive zone.
Meanwhile, equity benchmark indices extended its rally after exit poll results predicted that the BJP would win the Lok Sabha elections 2019 with a thumping majority. The Sensex is at 38,894, up 963 points, while NSE's Nifty was at 11,681 points, an upsurge of 281 points.
On the currency front, the rupee appreciated by 79 paise to 69.44 against the US dollar in opening trade.
On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in the green, while realty and capital goods stocks were among top gainers on the BSE, rising as much as 3.96% and 3.82%, respectively.
As per reports, the poll of polls puts NDA safely above the majority mark at ~302 to 312, while UPA is likely to score 110-122 seats, and others will have to do with 98-102 out of the total 542 seats.
However, investors are expected to remain cautious ahead of May 23, the day on which the final outcome of the general elections will be declared.
