Tracking a sharp fall in equity benchmark indices, the Nifty Realty index slipped 3% on Tuesday. Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate, Prestige, Sunteck, Phoenix Mills, and Oberoi Realty led the index’s fall.
Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate, Prestige Estate Projects, and Sunteck, which dropped 4% each, were leading the index’s fall. Shares of Phoenix Mills and Oberoi Realty also contributed to the fall, declining 3% each.
Shares of DLF, Sobha, Mahindra Lifespace Developers, and Godrej Properties slipped 2% each, while those of Brigade Enterprises fell 1%.
Meanwhile, equity benchmark indices were trading in the red on Tuesday amid geopolitical tensions between India and Pakistan. The Sensex declined 283 points at 35,930 levels. The Nifty also dropped 81 points to trade at 10,798 levels.
As per media reports, Pakistan has claimed that the Indian Air Force (IAF) has violated the Line of Control (LoC), following which the latter "scrambled" immediately. Pakistan's claim comes in the wake of tense relations between the two countries in the aftermath of the Pulwama terror attack, as per media reports.
